• Assist the Instrumentation Team on all activities of the discipline, including but not limited to field instruments, vendor packages instruments, analyzers, meters, sensors, transmitters, switches etc. and its interfacing with process equipment and control overriding systems, related to Commissioning Job of the Process Plant ensuring timely and safe completion of commissioning plant and ramp up and assist the system handover process. • Under guidance with Discipline Lead coordinate and work with Area Commissioning Leads, other Discipline teams, Contractors, Suppliers and other third parties to deliver required work according project objectives, contractual requirements within allotted time frames and budget • Ensure proactive and timely assertive and comprehensive work progress reports, identified targets, potential risks and provide potential solutions. • Ensure that the works proceed in conformity with the schedule, and report any deviations. • Assist and where necessary prepare documents and attend meetings with stakeholders and authorities to get the necessary permits to execute all discipline activities of commissioning and start up. • Support the selection and review of discipline commissioning tools, temporary equipment, specialized sub-contracts, spare parts, first fills and consumables, liaise with Procurement Department on all commercial aspects. • Ensure the effective mobilization of manpower/resources to the commissioning and completion teams. • Prepare documentation and eventually conduct technical training to own staff and operations staff. • Witnessing, conducting and verifying all discipline checks and tests are carried according the commissioning plan and to the required codes and statutes. • Ensure that the Discipline Team including Vendors, Contractors and Sub-contractors have prepared and completed all the necessary Commissioning documentation. • Participate in daily meetings, coordination meetings, induction programs, and toolbox meetings. Take part in project & review meetings to make sure that commissioning requirements have been completed. . • Provide the most appropriate testing and commissioning procedures and good practices to eliminate hazards, minimise costs and improve performance/quality. • Ensure that the quality of the work completed is to project design for the Instrumentation discipline through the use of understandable quality procedures. • Ensure prompt update of all engineering documentation and references associated to hardware and software changes. • Preparation and review of “As Built” drawings. • Ensure daily follow up of activities and document the progress using Commissioning Completion Database. • Maintain a comprehensive log of the activities and report progress. • Liaises with other company departments and disciplines to ensure free flow of information and delivery of designs that meet project requirements. • Provision of consultative services to all departments with regards to support on trouble shooting on existing equipment, design improvement and safe implementation thereof. • Perform routine job observations on hazardous tasks. General: Operation and maintenance of Crude oil and Gas Fiscal Metering Skids. • Technical Inspection: o Daily Technical Monitoring of the custody metering system and analytical laboratory equipment; o Technical monitoring while performing the proving and calibration works; o Technical monitoring while performing the maintenance and repair works; • Re-verification and re-calibration works of the Custody Metering System: o All the Proving and recalibration works shall be performed as per requirement of relevant API MPMS standards for measurement of Hydrocarbon fluids, ASTM standards and recommendations of manufactures of equipment; • Duty flow meters re-verification (Crude Oil and Treated Dry Gas metering System): o The “duty” meter shall be compared with the “master” meter at a frequency agreed with the client, There are 3 methods for re-verification which are: 1) The use of master meter (normal operation) 2) Comparison of the meter with a pipe prover, 3) removal of the meter for calibration at a recognized test facility; • Master Meter Periodical Recalibration (Crude Oil and Treated Gas Metering): o To guard against the possible “drift” of both “master” and “duty” meters, the master meter shall be periodically recalibrated as a complete working unit – combined spools and internals, along with any dedicated interface electronics as required. Using the stationary Bi-Directional Prover for recalibration of the master meter and duty meters; • Prover Periodical recalibration (Crude Oil metering system): o In accordance with Iraqi National Code for Measurement of Hydrocarbon Fluids, stationary prover shall be calibrated by water draw calibration method described in API MPMS standards as part of system checks on site; o Inspection of all critical valves and instrumentation along with the sphere, checking of sphere size, sphericity, etc…shall take place prior to calibration. After calibration the sphere detectors and all vents and drains shall be sealed; • Weigh Bridge Periodical Recalibration (LPG metering system): o Providing the maintenance (including periodical recalibration) of two Weigh Bridges as per requirements of manufacturers and relevant API, IP, ISO standards; • Recalibration and maintenance of Field Instrumentation and Online oil/gas analysers such as GC_ Model 500 Gas Chromatograph, RSH_ 700XA Gas Chromatograph, HCDP, CO2, Moisture, H2S, Reid Vapor Pressure, Total Sulfur, Salt in Crude, Pour Point: o Recalibration of Instrumentation (pressure, temperature transmitter and gauges, on-line quality analysers) should be performed as per recommendations of manufactures of equipment and instrumentation and Iraqi National Code for Measurement of Hydrocarbon Fluids. As well as: • Active participation in the commissioning and startup activities of phase-II of Gas plant. Troubleshooting and Punch list identification, verification and clearance. Participation in the process of Pre-SAT/SAT. Final acceptance of vendor packages and Gas/LPG Fiscal Metering Skids to operation/maintenance.
